Learn to Operate Camera on Location!
Sessions - 2 Cost - $15

At the completion of these two sessions, you will have an understanding on how to shoot indoors or outdoors and in many different situations. Topics will be:

- interview set up
- remote lighting
- audio on location
- using two or more seperate cameras

The 1st session will be an in-depth look at the above. The second will be structured closer to your individual needs and the direction you want your production to take. The instructor will help you lay out a production plan and help you devise the best way to accomplish your goal of Community TV!

Final Cut Pro Level 1
Sessions - 1 Cost: $15

This one session wil introduce you to non-lnear editing. You'll learn the basics of the award winning editing software, Final Cut Pro Studio 2. The class is best taught on a one on one basis or with a group of no more than three.

Included in this class is how to digitize your video into the computer, how to create a timeline, assemble different shots, add transitions (dissolves, special effects, etc) andd titles and more. We will also cover how to export your final product to a DVD or videotape.

This class will also give you familiarity with using a Mac computer.

Final Cut Pro Level 2
Sessions - 1 Cost: $15

This is an extension of Level One and will go deeper into the editing software. Topics will include adding filters; keyframing; layering video and more.

You will also be introduced to LiveType, (a cool graphics generating program) and iDVD and a little bit of DVD Studio Pro. At the completion of this class you will have a very good understanding of Final Cut Pro Studio 2.

This class can only be taught on a one on one basis.

Lighting for Studio and Field
Sessions - 1 Cost: $15

Lighting is one of the more important elements of television production and this class will help you create a professional look for your community TV production.

The three-point lighting system has long been the industry standard. In this class you'll learn not only the three point system, but also the creative effects you can use for on location and in the studio lighting.

This class can be taught to more than one person at a time.

Creating Cool Opens in MOTION 3
Sessions - 2 Cost: $25

MOTION 3 is one of the finest in special effects software programs available on the Final Cut Pro Studio 2 platform and WKTV has it! If you want high-end quality intros to your community TV show, sign up for this important class!

Sophisticated and yet user friendly with a clever interface, Motion is the Apple answer to Adobe's After Effects.

This class can be taught to only one person at a time.

Your Own 4-Camera TV Production Truck
Session - 1 Cost: $15 per person. Group rates possible. Ask!

Apart from the cost to learn, plus your videotape everything else is free. We even buy the gas! Bring the community into everyone's living room by learning how to use our TV production truck. Don't worry, a staff person always brings the truck to your location, but by taking this class, you'll learn how to create coverage of your community event. Parade? Festival? Cooking Show on Location? High School or Professional Sporting Event? It's all possible with the WKTV remote television truck.

You're responsible for your own crew with the television truck and they must be trained, but the staff at WKTV is here to help you make your production a reality (and a lot of fun).

Studio Basics or Studio Advanced
$15 each

When you take the class in studio production you're on your way to your own production at WKTV. Our advice is that if you want to do a whole series of shows, to keep it simple. If you want to do just an occasionaly production such as a live band appearance, then go to town. Either way, our Studio A or Studio B are sure to fit your needs.

You'll learn how to do a multiple camera set-up and how to switch between the cameras. You'll learn learn studio lighting and shot composition, plus what you need for audio. Is it a talk show? A rock band? Whatever your idea is, the production crew at WKTV has the answers so you can realize your vision.

Interviewing Techniques
Cost: $15

This easy class is designed not to help get that "zinger" question in, but instead how to listen to your subject and create new questions based on their answers.

A good interview is like a conversation with the TV viewing audiece listening in.

It'll make your documentary or feature piece that much more compelling!
